Description:
Davus pentaloris is a medium-sized tarantula known for its striking coloration. It has a dark body with orange and black striped legs, giving it a distinctive appearance. Its carapace usually has a brown hue with golden reflections.
Size:
- Males: Up to 10 cm in leg span.
- Females: Up to 12 cm in leg span.
Lifespan:
- Males: 3-4 years.
- Females: 10-12 years.
Behavior:
- Moderately defensive but more likely to flee than attack.
- Can use urticating hairs as a defense mechanism.
- Semi-fossorial, meaning it enjoys digging and creating burrows.
Care Requirements:
Terrarium:
- Minimum dimensions: 30x30x30 cm.
- Substrate: Peat, coconut fiber, or moss with at least 5-10 cm depth to allow burrowing.
- Humidity: 65-75%.
- Temperature: 22-26ºC.

Diet:
