Exo Terra Paludarium: Complete Semi-Aquatic Habitat

The Exo Terra Paludarium combines aquarium and terrarium, recreating a tropical, swampy, or stream environment. Its tall front glass design allows for a higher water level, providing space for both aquatic and terrestrial species. It is ideal for the breeding, development, and health of various animal and plant species.

The paludarium’s living area is divided into three main zones:

Terrestrial Zone The terrestrial zone is a dry area that includes plants, shrubs, trees, and rocks, and it always remains out of the water. In tropical regions, this zone is home to various invertebrates, reptiles, and amphibians.
Riparian Zone The riparian zone or riverbank is the meeting point between water and land. Semi-aquatic reptiles and amphibians inhabit this area.

Aquatic Zone The aquatic zone can represent a stream, pond, or lake, making it an ideal space for turtles, aquatic amphibians, fish, and freshwater shrimp. Thanks to the front panel height of approximately 27 cm, a greater water volume can be maintained in this section.

Decorative Root Background The decorative root background offers the paludarium inhabitants more climbing opportunities and recreates the natural setting of the roots of a Bengal fig tree. This expanded three-dimensional space creates an ideal habitat for various arboreal species, such as arboreal boas and pythons, day geckos, leaf-tailed geckos, tokay geckos, tree frogs, and others.
